Our Farm
A family owned and operated, multi generation farm in western Maryland. We specialize in fresh fruits and vegetables picked at the peak of perfection. From the sweetest sweet corn picked fresh every morning to the best jack-o-lantern you could wish for, we have something for everyone. Throughout the summer beginning in early July we have a tremendous lineup of fresh produce including, Tomatoes, Peppers, Cantaloupe, Watermelon, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Squash, Peaches and Potatoes. As Fall approaches we shift gears slightly to include pumpkins of every size shape and color. We also have Fall Mums, Corn Stalks and Straw bales to complete your decorating needs

Our Story
Local Family Farm
Nestled in the heart of western Maryland, Houser's Produce Farm Inc is a local family farm, started in 1981, dedicated to providing the community with the finest, freshest produce. Our story is one of passion for farming, sustainability, and delivering the highest quality fruits and vegetables to our customers. We value the relationships we have built with our community and take pride in being a trusted source for fresh, flavorful produce.
From our beginnings as a backyard hobby in 1981 with 2 acres until today farming over 2000 acres, our goal has remained the same. Grow the best possible produce and sell it at fair prices. Our founders began as a young couple, who are now grandparents. Several of their children and spouses are still involved on the farm. Some are full time dedicated while others work part time as needed. Now 40+ years later there are also several grandchildren involved who show immense interest in keeping the tradition going.
The Wholesale Story
In addition to a farm market on the farm, we run a fleet of refrigerated trucks serving nearly 100 supermarkets in the greater Baltimore-Washington DC metro area. With multiple day a week delivery direct to the store, the produce we deliver is as fresh as any you can find at the supermarket. With this fleet we are able to provide fresh local produce to a large geographic area in a timely manner. Typically, our produce is in the supermarket within 36 hours of harvest.
Food Safety
Food Safety seems to be in the news a lot lately. We want our customers to know we take it very seriously. From our management team taking food safety classes and training courses, to training our harvest and packing crews, food safety is a constant focus. We strive to provide you, the consumer, with safe, as well as, fresh produce. Each and every year we voluntarily submit our farm and our farming practices to be audited by the USDA for food safety. We currently hold certificates for the USDA Harmonized GAP+ audit scheme, and strive every day to continue to meet and exceed these goals for your peace of mind in the produce you buy.
